Soft Options (Systems) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) specialise in providing computer solutions designed to fulfil the business needs of its customers. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy details what and how information is collected, how it will be used, how long it will be kept for, what we do to protect your personal information and what choices you have in relation to your personal information and how the law protects you.

 

The data we collect about you

Personal data/information is any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. We may on occasion collect, use and store different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity data – first name, last name
  • Contact data – email address, telephone numbers, business/delivery/accounts addresses
  • Technical data – we collate or analyse technical data such as your IP, Browser or Operating system although this will be collected by our websites that require you to log in. This is purely for technical reasons and security purposes. We may however ask for technical details by direct email/phone for the purposes of troubleshooting any issues you may be experiencing
  • Marketing and Communications data – your preferences in receiving marketing and communications from us
  • Professional data – any information we may collect in the course of providing our services to you

We do not collect any special categories of personal data about you.

 

If you fail to provide personal data

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide the required data, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you. In this case, we may have to cancel a service you have with us but we will notify you of this at the time.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data, however, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to comply if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. This time frame may be exceeded depending on the complexity or number of requests made. If this were the case you would be notified.
