The launch of BEST within a service is always a huge team effort born of the collaboration between the service and Soft Options. This week I, Vicky Best as Software Trainer have had the privilege of being on site for the East Coast Community Wheelchair Service Go-Live which launched in coordination with the East Coast Approved Repairer site under Ross Care. Having a separate Approved Repairer site and SystmOne in place for a joined-up service in the local community, their requirements of BEST are streamlined, making them a relatively unique team.

I spent a couple of days on site with Julie and the team at the wheelchair service, hand-holding as they started using BEST to raise referrals and work orders to be sent to Ross Care via the nightly EDT. The team aren’t strangers to the world of EDTs but, were pleasantly surprised at how effortless the process is within BEST.

All we have to do is check the numbers? That’s so much easier

The praise for BEST just kept coming and despite not having had much time to practice with BEST prior to Go-Live, have picked it up very quickly.

It makes sense and does what you ask it to

It’s so intuitive

It’s easy when you know how

This is going to save us so much work

East Coast Community Wheelchair Service work alongside their colleagues at the Approved Repairer service under Ross Care. Having come from working with Ross Care it was great to reunite with Tracy and Ian, both working with them and enjoying a meal together afterwards.

I want to thank the ECCH team for making me feel so welcome while I’ve been on site and hope they continue to find joy in discovering all that BEST can do for the service.
