PHP Security Update
Following recent news reports and cybersecurity advisories regarding critical vulnerabilities in PHP, Soft Options would like to confirm that the applications and services we provide are not affected by these vulnerabilities.
Our applications, including BEST Client, BEST Web, Client Portal and SOS, do not use PHP. Therefore, these vulnerabilities do not affect our applications, and no customer action is required in relation to these specific issues.
The Soft Options website, softoptions.co.uk, uses PHP for its contact enquiry functionality. However, the website does not store customer information, provide customer accounts or act as a portal to other services.
Our hosting provider updated the website’s PHP version to PHP 8.2.35 on 21 October 2026, addressing the recent PHP security vulnerabilities.
